Should ClueChick be more risque?
In thinking of ways to expand my readership, one of my friends suggested that I should write the occasional review of my fun hookups -- a bit of erotica to spice things up. Although I'm not convinced of my ability to write porn that's not excruciatingly painful, I may give it a shot, but I also wanted to throw the question out to my readers, since, ostensibly, my mission here is to give advice, not share the details of my escapades.
So, what do you think? Can ClueChick exist as both an advice-blog and an occasional erotica-blog?

no No NO!
There are hundreds of sites I can go to if I want 'jerk-off-able' stories about sex.
You've created a place where the focus is NOT the physical act itself.
I would like more stories of the bad 'lead-ups' or even the good ones.
I'm more interested in *why* you wanted to pull down your pants than the "I slowly pulled my thong past my ass as he kissed me in the soft of my neck..." *wack* *wack* *wack*
Your writing style is fantastic, not too harsh - not condescending. Why get lost in the muddle of soft-porn weberotica?

Ah, I don't think you need erotica to spice it up -- that is, blow by blow retellings -- but date reports would be good and in keeping with the theme. Tell us what you actually do on these dates -- not the sucking and fucking, but "I got a great mail from a guy a week ago, we've been exchanging IMs since then and today we met for coffee. The sexual charge was great. The conversation was short but we have a date set for next week and I'm feeling positive about this one". Let us know how the actual workings of a Casual Encounters Goddess actually go!

The best way to increase your reach is to continue what you're doing: Writing well, writing often, and writing on interesting topics. I started reading you after you posted in Chicago's CE area (which is probably a violation of CL TOS, but so what?). Also, if you can, check your pageview and referrer logs often, replay searches, etc., to find out what's driving the traffic you have.

I think it would fit in to this blog if you focused not on what you did with the guy once you hooked up, but on how and why it happened - who wrote who first, whatgot you interested, how you negotiated the meeting, what happened at the meeting, what you were thinking, ...
"spice it up" by adding a few stories of hookups that didn't happen (but got further than a non-response or one or two bad emails)

Only if you plan on posting action photos with the stories.
Otherwise, no.

No, please.
There are plenty of sites that do that, and this is not one of them.
I agree with one of the other respondents: accounts of the initial meetings, both good and bad, yes. Accounts of slippery sweaty details? no thanks.

I'm with sapiophile. The hows and whys of what has been working for you lately, the joys of being The Chick With Clue, that sort of thing is interesting on one level and would provide you some change-up material. As Dusty said, it's more interesting how you got to the hot-and-bothered phase, not what happens after. Those of us who can't take an educated guess, well, they probably don't have much use for this site anyway. (Or, perhaps they need it more than ever. Take your pick.)

To write risque or not to write risque?
Personally, I don't think you should even be considering the audience here at all. Just write what you feel like writing, irrespective of audience demand. I stumbled onto your blog and ended up adding it to my Bloglines feed entirely by accident because your voice was authentic. That's what counts the most. And that's what attracts an audience. :)

When it comes to something I like already, I am resistant to change.
When it's something I like muchly, I am muchly resistant.
Change nothing.
