Ah, irony. It bites you in the ass sometimes
From a m4w ad, posted without further comment:
I think that this time I'll work the intelligence angle. I've noticed that I seem to get along best with people who consider themselves to be smarter than the average person walking down the street. I mean, yes, physical attractiveness is of course important, but I think that there's something to be said for mental attractiveness as well.Do you feel the same way? If so, send a pic

I have to have the mental thing first. Physical attractiveness is nice but not the only thing for me. I always call the brain my biggest sex organ.

"Working the intelligence angle" just isn't ever as popular as it should be, is it?
Love your blog, by the way, and I'm adding it to my links...

...he never actually he claims which end of the intelligence spectrum he's on, leaving the reader to guess...

It is moments like this that make me especially pleased I've already found my wife. Guys like that only make it harder for guys like me... since I was someone actually looking for, first and foremost, "a mind at work".

Am so smiling. The mental connection is really what I need. And yet...without a picture I'm leary of really letting myself go and thinking about the possibilities. Have been a bit surprised a few times too many when first meeting someone with whom that connection seemed to have happened. A few times it has continued though. Looks are of lesser importance.

He doesn't actually say he likes intelligent people. He says he likes people who consider themselves intelligent.
And we all know how accurate self-assessments of such things are...
